Discovery Cup 2024

Date of Event: October 12-13, 2024



Deadline: Friday, October 2nd, 2024 by 10:00 PM - NO EXCEPTIONS

Teams that complete online registration will receive a Confirmation Email by Wednesday, October 4th, 2024 at 10:00 p.m. Confirmation Email will be sent to the email address listed as “Primary Contact” for this specific event. Please do not send individual inquiries prior to the deadline.

Online registration documents must include:

  • Official Roster (USYS or US Club)
  • All Player Cards
  • Team info sheet
  • Guest player form (if needed)
  • Permission to Travel (if needed)

Directions to Complete Online Check-In:

  • Submission process:
    • SCAN each document.
    • SAVE each document type as an individual PDFas they will be uploaded separately.
      • Please use descriptive titles so you will know which files to upload.
    • UPLOAD the documents to GotSport
      •  Log in to your Coach/Manager account and click on the 'Team Management' Button.
      • Click on the name of the team you are working on, and open the team registration tab.
      • Click on the event you are wanting to upload documents for.
      • Open the registration tab, and click the edit button (for any file you're being asked to upload, you will be able to click on the choose file button and upload accordingly).
      • If you have a challenge uploading a document the document is probably too large and then needs to be decreased in size, click save, once this is complete the event director will have access to review the documents to complete your check-in.

Registration FAQ

Players not attending the event:

If a player is not attending the event do I leave their name on the roster?
No, if a player is not attending the event, you need to cross their name off of the roster, preferably in a thick, black permanent marker.

Guest Players:

What is the maximum number of guest players a team can bring to the event?
No team may have more than 5 guest (or loan) players.

For US Club Soccer teams ONLY:

  • A copy of each US Club Player Pass for guest (or loan) players (front & back must be copied)

For US Youth Soccer teams ONLY:

  • A copy of each US Youth Soccer Player Pass for guest (or loan) players

All other relevant registration materials listed above must also be provided for EACH guest (or loan) player.

The following are the maximum roster size per age group:

U09 – U10 (7v7) – 14 players
U11-U12 (9v9) – 16 players
U13 - U15 (11v11) - 22 Players, but only 18 may dress for any given game.

How do I add a guest player?

Step 1: Obtain the guest player's current player card and medical release form

Step 2: Photocopy your original roster. Please handwrite the guest player’s full name, unique jersey number, player identification number, and birthday below the bottom of the existing rostered players.

Step 3: Fill out the Loan Player form listed above

Note: US Club Soccer teams may only take guest players registered under US Club Soccer, and USYS teams may only take guest players registered with properly stamped USYS player pass cards; recreation players are not permitted. No roster may be comprised of players with different passes from different organizations (no “mixed rosters”).

Medical Release Forms

Do I include the medical release forms in the on-site registration packet?

All teams must have a medical release form for each player (including guest players) but DO NOT include the medical release forms in the registration packet.

If you DO NOT have a medical release form please fill one out and keep it with you for the duration of the tournament. The form is listed above.
